Dr. Rosina Cheung, OD
Dr. Rosina Cheung earned both her Honours Bachelor of Science and her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo in 2006. She began her clinical career in Victoria, BC, before returning to the Greater Toronto Area in 2009, where she has been a dedicated community healthcare provider ever since.
Dr. Cheung completed a specialized externship in Ocular Disease and Therapeutics in Toronto, training alongside some of the city’s most prestigious retinal specialists and cataract surgeons. This intensive residency provided her with extensive experience in the diagnosis and co-management of complex conditions.
Driven by a commitment to service, Dr. Cheung has traveled to Guatemala, Peru, and Nepal on humanitarian missions, providing essential eye care and prescription eyewear to underserved populations. Her expertise also extends to high performance athletics; in 2015, she served as a member of the Toronto Pan Am Eye Care Team, providing on-site visual assessments and emergency ocular care for international athletes.
Locally, she is a passionate advocate for senior eye health, frequently hosting educational seminars and workshops at community senior centers to promote preventative care and wellness. Dr. Cheung is dedicated to providing inclusive, patient-centered care and is pleased to offer consultations in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
