Your Lens Options for Cataract Surgery

Cataracts, or the clouding of the eye’s natural lens, are very common with age. This is a gradual clouding that affects over 20% of Canadians as they age and is most common among individuals in their 50s and older.

Because cataracts could happen to anyone, it’s crucial to educate yourself on the condition and the choices you have for cataract surgery treatment. There is a variety of lens options available, including multifocal lenses which allow you to see at ALL distances without glasses, rather than just near or far.
