Dr. Jon Waisberg Graduated from the University of Western Ontario Medical School in 1967. From there Dr. Waisberg completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Toronto in 1974. During that time, he did a Fellowship Year studying Neuro-Ophthalmology at St. Michaels Hospital in Toronto. Dr. Waisberg also completed an MBA at the University of Toronto in 1996 and has held a variety of strategic management positions at the Humber River hospital and outside consulting firms.
Dr. Waisberg opened his own private practice in 1974 which he grew into a multi clinic practice that included both stand alone and multi service clinics. Dr. Waisberg was an active staff member at the Humber River Regional Hospital. He preformed many different eye surgeries throughout his career including cataract and pterygium surgery which he retired from in 2013. Dr. Waisberg joined North Toronto Eye Care in 2008 where he sees general Ophthalmology consults focusing on dry eye and glaucoma patients. He has specialized training in Botox and other fillers for both therapeutic and cosmetic purposes.
Dr. Waisberg has developed a passion for treating dry eye disease and provides weekly Dry Eye clinics at North Toronto Eye Care to assess and treat patients. He uses the latest technology including an Osmolarity test, along with other dry eye testing and surveys, to analyse tear film. He then develops a treatment plan with regiments tailored for each individual patient.
